Carbon Capture Mechanism Study at New Mexico State University

David C. Johnson Ph.D. at the NMSU Institute for Sustainable Agricultural Research (ISAR) proposes an new carbon capturing method with multiple advantages, including: 1) Pairing Soil Carbon Capture with a Voluntary Carbon Market in New Mexico, 2) Money going directly to participating farmers, 3) Improving New Mexico’s farm and ranch communities, 4) Money staying and recirculating in New Mexico, 5) Promoting satellite businesses for seed production, farm equipment and other support industries, and 6) Bringing in out-of–state revenue for energy produced in New Mexico being shipped to other states.
