Adopt-A-Meter partner and grantee American Farmland Trust has strategic initiative that supports women farmers across the US
Almost fifty years ago American Farmland Trust created conservation agriculture, and has been instrumental in saving hundreds of millions of acres of farmland in the US by promoting, educating, and supporting farmers on sound practices to keep land—and US farmers—healthy and productive. As a leader on the impact of climate change on farmland, they were a natural partner for TCU’s Adopt-A-Meter’s Women in Farming program, which blends perfectly with AFT’s own projects supporting female farmers. As a TCU grantee, American Farmland Trust will be able to expand the program, with a special focus on BIPOC farmers, many of whom are challenged economically.
