Carbon Underground Presents Keynotes at Bio-Economy & Justice Conference in Finland

Held in Helsinki on October 30, 2017 at the University of Helsinki Language Centre, the conference was arranged in collaboration with the Ympäristötiedon Foorumi, Luomuninstituutti and the Bio-Economy and Justice project at the Finland Future Research Center.

The event was designed to provide differing innovative perspectives that offered new thinking that could contribute to an alternative understanding of the ethical-based decision-making and implications of a future bio-based economy.

TCU Co-Founder Larry Kopald and pioneering Soil Scientist and University Professor David Johnson, Ph.D. both delivered keynote presentations on soil’s ability to address climate change.

Presenters also included Professor Markku Wilenius of Finland Futures Research Centre at the University of Turku, Saara Kankaanrinta, Chair of Baltic Sea Action Group and Co-Founder of Soilfood, Ltd., Kristiina Regina, Professor, Natural Resources Institute in Finland, and Johanna Muurinen, Ph.D. from the University of Helsinki.
